Lucknow came together in quiet grief as a Shanti Bhoj was held in memory of Prateek Yadav. The gathering, hosted at Akhilesh Yadav’s residence, saw family members, old friends, political leaders and well-wishers arriving not as rivals or public figures, but simply as people offering support to a grieving family.
Akhilesh Yadav, Shivpal Singh Yadav, Dimple Yadav and Prateek’s wife Aparna Yadav personally received guests through the day. There was a sense of solemn silence in the atmosphere, less about politics and more about shared loss. Despite staying away from active politics, Prateek seemed to have built strong personal bonds across different circles, something visible in the number of people who came to pay their respects.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Deputy Chief Ministers Brajesh Pathak and Keshav Prasad Maurya were among those present, along with leaders from the Samajwadi Party and BJP, ministers, MPs and senior officials. For a few hours, political differences appeared to fade into the background.
People remembered Prateek as someone deeply passionate about fitness, animals and family life. Conversations were soft, prayers were offered quietly, and the gathering reflected the kind of affection and goodwill he left behind in Lucknow.
