At the helm of Indie Times are two visionary entrepreneurs, Charanpreet Bagga and Charan DS Bedi. Charanpreet Bagga, our dynamic co-founder, is a multifaceted businessman with a diverse portfolio. His entrepreneurial ventures include a hotel, a chain of spas, and a banquet-cum-marriage lawn, all of which he successfully leases out. Expanding his business acumen internationally, Charanpreet runs a company in Dubai, UAE, which serves as an associate to major developers in Dubai and Goa. This global perspective enriches the content and reach of Indie Times.

Charanpreet’s expertise extends beyond business. As a lawyer and the chairman of Khalsa Inter College, a government-aided institution with a century-long legacy,he brings a wealth of knowledge in education and law to our publication.

His community involvement is equally impressive, serving as the Conveyor of Sri Guru Singh Sabha and an Honorary Advisor to CIAC Global. These diverse roles provide Indie Times with unique insights into various sectors of society. Charanpreet’s entrepreneurial spirit and innovative approach were recognized when he was awarded “Most Enterprising Businessman” in 2021.

Complementing Charanpreet’s diverse expertise is our co-founder, Charan DS Bedi, a renowned lawyer with an impressive client base. Representing over 35 banks and 25 developers, Charan brings a deep understanding of legal and financial matters to Indie Times. His extensive network and legal acumen provide our publication with a unique edge, ensuring that our content is not only informative but also legally sound and relevant to the business world.

To further enhance our media presence, we’ve launched the Indie Talk Show, a podcast that’s rapidly gaining popularity. Hosted by Charanpreet Bagga himself, this show features guests from all walks of life, each bringing compelling stories and rich content to our audience. Veraa Singh

Our Resident Editor Veraa Singh has been a known journalist. Her association with Hindustan Times, Lucknow, is remembered for her adept handling of Feature pages. She was one of the core team members when HT was launched in Lucknow in 1997. She began with shaping Feature pages and later on took care of main pages as well. She comes from a journalistic lineage as her father Late Virendra Singh was Editor in Chief of The Pioneer and Swatantra Bharat. Inheriting her journalistic skills from her father, Veraa has also published a travelogue – In Search of a Perfect Cuppa.
Besides newsprint she also has a long experience of audio industry!
Under her supervision, Indie Times Coverage is surely becoming a blend of Information and Entertainment!

Nabia Rizvi

Nabia’s journey is shaped by a deep connection to storytelling, truth, and thoughtful communication. With journalism at the heart of her academic foundation, she has built her path on curiosity, empathy, and responsibility toward the narratives she engages with.

Nabia has completed both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Journalism, a discipline that trained her to observe the world critically and understand stories beyond the surface. Journalism influenced not only her professional skill set but also the way she thinks, questions, and interprets the realities unfolding around her. For her, journalism is not limited to reporting facts; it is about understanding people, presenting diverse perspectives, and communicating with honesty and clarity.

Her academic training strengthened her skills in news writing, research, interviewing, and media ethics, while sharpening her analytical and communication abilities. She learned the importance of accuracy, balance, and sensitivity, especially when engaging with real experiences and real voices.

After completing her master’s degree, Nabia expanded her expertise by pursuing a certified Digital Marketing course. This combination of journalism and digital marketing allows her to create content that is both meaningful and strategically driven. Today, she approaches her work with integrity, adaptability, and a commitment to purposeful storytelling, values that continue to guide her professional journey.

Kajal Yadav

Kajal Yadav is an MBA graduate with a strong passion for writing and storytelling. Despite her academic grounding in management and business strategy, she has always been drawn toward creative expression through words. Over time, she has built experience in writing articles and short stories that reflect clarity, emotional depth, and a keen understanding of readers’ interests.

Her work in the tabloid space has strengthened her ability to craft engaging, fast-paced content while adhering to deadlines and editorial standards. Kajal has a natural talent for storytelling, allowing her to transform everyday events, human-interest stories, and trending topics into compelling narratives. She brings a balanced approach to her writing—combining factual accuracy with creativity to keep readers informed and engaged.

With a strong academic foundation in journalism and hands-on experience across newsrooms and institutional media, she represents the new generation of media professionals adaptable, articulate, and deeply grounded.

A postgraduate in Journalism from Graphic Era Hill University, Shailja’s journey into the media world has been shaped by both newsroom rigor and strategic communication. From anchoring news segments to writing press releases and managing media relations, her work reflects versatility and commitment.

Her professional stint as a Media Executive at Graphic Era University, Dehradun, saw her handling end-to-end public relations operations, media coordination, content creation, press releases, and event coverage contributing directly to enhancing the institution’s public visibility.

Prior to this, she sharpened her editorial and reporting skills through practical experience with Rashtriya Patrkarita Service and Prime News 24, where she worked as an editor, reporter, anchor, and content writer.

Shailja brings balance to her storytelling combining factual accuracy with a relatable narrative style. Her expertise spans public relations, media outreach, news reporting, anchoring, voiceovers, and on-ground event coverage, making her a well-rounded media professional.

At her core, Shailja believes journalism is not just about reporting events, but about connecting people to stories that matter. As infotainment continues to bridge news and narrative, voices like hers are shaping how audiences engage with information, responsibly and meaningfully.

Faiza Hussain Rizvi

Her 5 years of college experience in writing honed her research skills and flair for expression, serving her well in law. She crafts persuasive arguments, much like she once crafted engaging articles. Journalism taught her to seek facts, uncover hidden stories, and communicate with impact. Now, as an in-house lawyer, she uses these skills to champion her clients’ causes, navigating complex legal landscapes with ease. When she’s not in court, she’s probably reading a book or jotting down thoughts on the latest social issues. Let’s explore the power of words.
